Could you attach a small sample workbook demonstrating the problem (without sensitive data), or if that is not possible, make it available through OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox or similar?
If I understood you correctly, I think you need the XLOOKUP function
In this example, input in B1, test against E2:E4, then add conditional increment in G2:G4, result in B2.
