Help with year end forecast figure based on 3 years historical data and current year run rate?
Hello, forecasting data is something new for me so I would like a bit of a pointer on how I can achieve a realistic forecast with a given set of data. I have the data in a screenshot.
So what I am wanting to achieve is a Year End forecasted figure based on prev months & current and also 3 previous data. I am mainly wanting to get averages from the last 3 years data.
As you can see I am wanting to run this from April to March. I would also like a month end forecasted figure too please, if that can be based on the current month against the previous months that are the same as the current (in this case August) then that would be great?
Not really sure where to start, see screenshot attached.

In the attached workbook, I have reorganized the data into a single timeline, and used the FORECAST.ETS function to predict the values for the coming months.
