Help with the "DATE" Function

I have created a workbook that will feed dates from one worksheet into the next.  For example:  In  worksheet labeled "Hollywood", column D is titled "Drill Date" and dates will be entered in rows 7 thru 18.  The date entered in column D/rows 7 thru 18 in worksheet "Hollywood" is set to auto-populate into worksheet labeled "Recap", column D/rows 8 thru 19 by the argument entered into "Recap" column D/Rows 8 thru 19 being ='Hollywood'!D7".  My dilemma is this...when there is no date entered in worksheet labeled "Hollywood", column D (Drill Date), the date that populates into the worksheet "Recap" is 01/01/00.  I need for there to be NO date to populate into these cells unless there is a date entered in the Drill Date column in the Hollywood worksheet.  I cannot figure out how to do this via the Date argument.  Does anyone know how to fix this...?  Much appreciated!
