HELP WITH IF STATEMENT

In cell C13 I have a person's name i.e. Fred Block In another cell, CALCULATOR!B9, I have people's names plus other words i.e Fred Block Executive or Joe Brown Senior I want to say if the name/text...

try this:
=IF(C13=CALCULATOR!B9,CALCULATOR!D9,"")

    Hi Lorenzo - unfortunately no that didn't work.  C13 won't equal the other cell, just have part of the text.

      how about this?
      =IF(C13=MID(CALCULATOR!B9,SEARCH(C13,CALCULATOR!B9),LEN(C13)),CALCULATOR!D9,"")

        Hi Lorenzo - I get #VALUE for this   (never come across MID and LEN - I've have to look those up)
