Help with data valiation (indirect function)
Hi,
I have a list of tests reports I need to pull based off specific criteria from each drop down.
I already have the list established but I need it to be dependent for each choice.
Example: if you choose vendor "A" only vendor A item type shows up, and then only vendor A details.
Please let me know if there is a solution,

novakdz Similar to a problem that came up earlier today in this thread.
Working with Named Ranges and INDIRECT will enable what you want to achieve, though you have to restructure your option lists.
- Found the best and easiest way to do this if you have the most recent excel update.

This is cake - Yes but where I got stuck was the duplicate data. I can’t remove it, I have to reference all the data in each category since each final test is different.

but I couldn’t figure it out the formula was too complex.

Thank youMust admit I'm progressing slowly. But, if you would consider to reorganise your lists (started with an example in Sheet1 in the attached workbook), I'm confident it can be achieved. But now I must, unfortunately go off-line for a while.
