\gamma etc. not working
Hi
when I type \gamma it stays just like that, and does not autocorrect to the greek symbol. When I check options>proofing>autocorrect options>math autocorrect, the shortcut is there with Replace: \gamma With: γ but it still does not change it when I type it. I have tried adding Greek as a language, restarting Excel, googling it, but nothing works. Thanks
If you need a lot of math autocorrect in "normal" mode, better to use VBA as in mentioned by HansVogelaar post. If just few, it's easier to add them manually to AutoCorrect (or copy/paste one by one from Math AutoCorrect to AutoCorrect).
Math AutoCorrect does not work in Excel. A workaround is to convert all Math AutoCorrect entries to ordinary AutoCorrect entries. How to Use Math AutoCorrect in Excel may help - make sure to use the code near the end of that topic.
