Formulas displaying as text
Can anyone tell me why my worksheet allows me to type in formulas one minute but then suddenly starts to display the formulas as text and won't do the calculations?
I FINALLY got one to work. I had tried the number as general, as text and as number, the show formula check was off, automatic calculations on, added new column, tried on a different row and convert to range when it was a table.
Finally - when it was formatted as a number and in the cell where the formula was just text, I clicked on the "fx" button to open the "Function Arguments" dialog box - located next to the formula bar . When the dialog box opened, the test, if true and if false fields were already filled in with my formula values. I just clicked ok and it took it from text to the formula result.
