Formula unable to see updated data unless I cut and repaste.
I have a fairly large spreadsheet with a bunch of formula cells using simple math functions. When I change the value of one of the input variables, the formula cell is unable to change the result. I get the correct result only if I cut and repaste the formula into its cell. Note that this spreadsheet didn't have this problem initially. Note also that I am having similar problems with other spreadsheets that didn't used to have this problem.
Check that you haven't accidentally turned manual calculation on..
Go to the Formula ribbon->calculation option. Make sure Automatic is ticked.

No worries, glad it worked.
I think there is a shortcut key shift+F9 to toggle this on/off so it is possible to do it by accident.
