Formula not working for me
Hello, I have a task at work in Excel and it's driving me crazy. I have 96,000 rows of text ( names of files from a hard drive) and I have to check if any of them contain a year from 2000 to 2009...
- Can't you use the autofilter feature for this? Then you can just type 200 in the filter search box, Excel will hide everything that doesn't contain 200.
Direct filtering as JKPieterse suggested is more logical, but if you need formula for some purposes it will be as
=IF(ISNUMBER(SEARCH("200",A2)),A2,"")
- I did the filtering and it worked. Thanks!:)
