formula is not adding
What would be the formula to enter in order to add column C8 to and have d8 accumulate D8? and keep adding for example if work 70 hours first week to date c8 and d8 would represent hours worked to date?

- thank you Patrick...I want to create a spreadsheet that would represent a cheque stub this would alway have a column that would indicate the hours work up to and including the week cheque is issued for ....the info on the stub/spreadsheet would also have the money paid to date...column A would be amount received but column b would be the amount received to date,
This workbook is setup with Column A as Received, Column B as Received to date. The formula is in B and a dynamic named range is used to expand/contract the total as needed.

worked 35 hours first week then column b would have the total amount of hours worked ???So now, let me ask that you clarify the relationship between the two posts. You make NO reference to. columns A and B in your first, so how that clarified anything is beyond me.
How about describing the task solely in words, without reference to columns or cells. Let those of us who know Excel do the translation into rows and columns and formulas; you just describe in words the task:
- what information are you collecting?
- what does it represent?
- what outcome are you looking for?
- how do I send you a photo of my spreadsheet?
Could you provide a more complete description of the task you're seeking to accomplish? What you've written is difficult, at best, to follow with any confidence.
