Formating cells so they change to a different fill colour based on word?

Hi, I have read a how to guide but I am still struggling, I am a VERY new user.

I would like to format the cells so if it contains either the word Green, Yellow, Orange, or No Cat (White) it changes to that colour, but I don't seem to be able to do it, any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

You should go to the Home tab of the ribbon, then go to the "Conditional Formatting" options. There, click on New rule having the cell you want to make that happen selected. Choose the "Use a formula to determine which cells to format". There, type:

    =A1="Green"

Assuming A1 is the cell you want this functionality to happen. Then, choose the proper fill format as desired. Go to format on the bottom-right part and choose to fill with green color.

Then, when "Green" is typed in A1, it will automatically be filled with the green color you chose. Do the same procedure with yellow or any other colors or options.
