Format problem calculating salary
How do I take, let say, 149 hours and 3/4 - that is 149.45....
Stop: 3/4 is .75 so 149 and 3/4 hours would be 149.75
The formula would be =(149.75/20)*17.75
or, better, refer to the cells containing those various values. My calculator gave me $132.90, for what that's worth.
(What, by the way, is the source of the 20?)

The 20 is just the numbe to use to calculte the holiday to pay, it is based on the last 4 weeks of paid hours.

Yes, but 149.45 is a decimal number: 149 and 45/100, not 149 and 45/60.
As a decimal number, you should use 149.75 since .75 = 75/100 = 3/4.
It's different if you use time format: 149:45 is indeed 149 and 45/60. But that is not what you used in your calculation.

So, to be succinct, I calculate the hours with the format Custom [h]:mm. That will brake the hour by 15 minutes period.
So, From 06:00 To 16:15 that would give 10.15 or 10 hours and 1/4.
The problem I have is that I need to divide the sum for a pay period, let say 119.45 by 20 to get the number of hours for 1 day (for holidays) and that does not work because 119.45 /20 does note equal 119.75 / 20.
I could enter the time with decimal but the entry time would take too much time and errors easy to commit, it is more efficient to enter the hours like form 06:00 to 14:45 because the calculation are exact. But I can not multiply hourly salary without using many columns trying to convert decimal. I can not multiply the hours by hourly salary because the total would be different. How do I work with these 2 formats? Do I have to convert the digit '20', do I have to convert the hourly salary (but how) so that I get the correct result?
