Forgotten Protection Password
Our treasury office forgot the password to an Excel sheet we protected years ago. Is there a microsoft support team that can assist us with removing protections by way of proving our ownership/authorship of the file in question?
It was a password protected sheet (1). I thankfully was able to find a free website that was able to take an upload of the document and immediately remove the password. The site was https://www.lostmypass.com/file-types/ms-excel/

What protection are we talking about?
- Worksheet protection (Review, protect sheet)
- Workbook protection (Review, protect workbook)
- Workbook encryption (File, Info, Protect Workbook, Encrypt with password)
1 and 2 are easy to remove, 3 is close to impossible.
