finding averages

Question

Hello.&nbsp;I am struggling to find a formula that will work for all cells, in the yellow columns.&nbsp;The objective is to return an average, even if sometimes the total is 0 in some months.&nbsp; The issues, it returns an error when they are sometimes 0.&nbsp; I tried doing an if X=0, then just Y/Total, etc.&nbsp; But what I need is if X OR Y =0, then just take the average.&nbsp; I am not sure I am explaining this well, but hopefully the attached file will do better than I have, in words.&nbsp;Thank you.HansVogelaar&nbsp;&nbsp;

The solution proposed by durendal will include the months with a total of 0 in the average; it counts them as 0. If you want to exclude such months, see the attached version; I added some helper columns.
