Filtering data in a macro file resaved as xls file

Hi All,

I had a macro enabled file that I saved as an xls file. I now want to filter data in the file but when I insert the filter in the header row, it does not recognize any of the data in the rows below in the same column. If I copy and paste the data column into a new workbook, the filter function works fine. I do not want to copy/paste all of the data in this workbook into a new workbook so seeking a solution for this workbook.
