Filter shows old dates even when not in current data
I have a file with several pivot tables where the date fields when attempting to filter shows dates back to 2012. The data only has 2021-2023 information in it. Is there a way to refresh the filter...
Click in a pivot table. On the PivotTable Analyze tab of the ribbon, click Options.
Activate the Data tab of the dialog.
Set 'Retain items deleted from the data source' to None, then click OK.
Refresh the pivot table.

SRossetti - This did not work for me. I have also tried VBA to refresh the pivotCache aqnd the onld dates still show up.
Could you attach a small sample workbook demonstrating the problem (without sensitive data), or if that is not possible, make it available through OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox or similar?
- I am not able to as it has information that I am not able to release outside the company.
I can say that the source table only has data for April 2023. Yet the pulldown for the Date Filter shows dates for 1 jan - 31 Dec
