djclements agree with your disappointment/frustration with this forum as well as with it having been a favorite but one I now regularly am considering dropping. The frustrations with including a file are one thing, but it also continues to seem that there are FAR fewer users coming here with questions. Has it somehow become harder to find?

mathetes Many of the Excel forums that I frequent seem to be experiencing similar drops in the quantity (and quality) of questions being asked. I get the feeling that many users (especially those at an intermediate skill level) are turning to A.I. tools such as Chat GPT, Copilot, Agent Mode, etc. as their primary source of assistance nowadays. There used to be 1 or 2 questions each day that would spark my interest, but now it's more like 1 question every other week (which are typically in the form of a "challenge" shared by another contributor). I think we're on the verge of extinction, lol.

If you edit your original post/reply immediately afterwards and reattach the exact same file, does it stick?
File attachments have been removed from my two most recent replies, but editing those replies and reattaching the same files immediately thereafter has worked for me.

If i've started the discussion i don't have a menu where i can choose to edit or delete the original message. The menu is only shown for the answerer.
If i've replied to a discussion then there's a menu where i can edit the message and attach a file. To the discussion below i've replied yesterday and my attached file didn't stick. Today i've edited the message and attached the sample file and it's working for me.

That's interesting. I'm using MS Edge on Windows 11, and I get a gear menu icon in the top-right corner of my screen, which allows me to edit a discussion I started...
Glad to hear the edit worked for you with your reply, although it sounds like it might not be a reliable workaround 100% of the time as mentioned by SnowMan55. So disappointing to see what's become of this forum... it used to be my favorite one.

A few times that has worked for me; other times it has not.
Design request, in case forum moderators read this: If the attachment is being held in suspense for scanning/human review, the post should say so.

I am facing same issue since last couple of weeks. Techcommunity authority should take care of it.
