Hi!
I need a fast answer. How can I sum different dates(which have different years) and their values? For example i have dates from 2008-2017 and in next row i have the number of counted birds, I need to sum birds seen in the same day but different year. How can I do that?
Thanks for answers

- John Jairo Vergara DomínguezBrass ContributorHi, to all!
In Matt Mickle's file, you can use too (in E2):
=SUMIF(A$2:A$15,D2&"*",B$2:B$15)
And drag it down. Blessings!- Selena VahtramäeCopper Contributor

This is a great opportunity to use the SUMPRODUCT() function. I have created an example file for your reference. Please see attached:
Here's some additional information on the function: https://support.office.com/en-us/article/sumproduct-function-16753e75-9f68-4874-94ac-4d2145a2fd2e
