excel: visible marking of the line even if excel is not active? + jump to new line with marking with
Hello... have two problems with excel that I can not work smoothly.
If you select a line, it is then highlighted and you can easily see which columns are even if you have many columns.
But now I click in the browser on the other monitor this marking is no longer visible... why is that ?
and how can i always see the marker ? is there an addon for this or can i program an addon for this ?
the other problem is ... that i don't want to click to mark a new line ... i want to do this with the arrow keys ... jump one line further and mark it too ... so that you can easily see where you are currently working dun immediately pull the data that belongs to the line ...
now you have to click with the mouse first so that the marker the line here
Microsoft is working on this - please add your vote to Visually show which cells are selected even when another application has focus
In the meantime, you might use Jan Karel Pieterse's free add-in Follow Cell Pointer, available from his download page

Copy the file FollowCellPointer.xlam to %appdata%\Microsoft\Addins.
Start Excel.
Select File > Options > Add-ins.
Click Go... near the bottom of the dialog.
Click Browse...
You should see FollowCellPointer.xlam.
Select it and click OK.
