you can try lock-unlock cells and protect the sheet. however this will prevent anybody to enter data to locked cells unless they know the password. To do this:
Select the range you want people to be able to modify the data. right click and select Properties. Than from the new window go to protection tab and unclick "Locked" checkbox.
Than close this window by pressing OK. and select "Protect Sheet" option in Review tab. You can create a password and prevent anybody to enter more data to the table.
