Wasn't working yesterday 3/16 until about 11am EST then worked the rest of the day. Again today 3/17 not working as of 11am EST... running Microsoft 365 via MacBook Air
- gmcenroe1Copper ContributorThe 5 sec auto refresh did not work yesterday, I had to click the refresh all to get updates and then it was very sluggish to update data. I am just back on Trading view instead.

srr4791 Same problem as yesterday, contacted tech support and they were of zero help, asked me if I wanted to reinstall and older version of office on my computer as a "workaround" I just left the tech support chat, those support people are on another region of the planet and out of touch with the engineering teams.

gmcenroe1 I very much would rather install a version that works! I’ll restore the file to a few days ago. Thanks for the suggestion! I wouldn’t have thought about that.
- gmcenroe1Copper ContributorLet me know if that works, the problem is not with your app, it is with Microsoft's data center providing the data. I tried that yesterday and it did not work for me.

It's as if nobody @Microsoft is paying attention to these recurring data problems. It's beyond belief.

yes I spent an hour and a half with support chat - trying to reload, restore software, rebuilds. etc. Then they uninstalled a secuirty update from 3 days ago which didnt make sense since it just happend today, Why isn't there internal memos going around Microsoft that they look at and say they issue is being addressed They could google it and see this group was having the same issues - but how about thier own internal communications? Jeesh,,, Wasted 1 12 hours if my time when they could have just said its a known issuse they are working on.
- gmcenroe1Copper ContributorI sympathize with you and all other Excel Data users. Their tech support sounds like it is in India or Africa, tech support seems disconnected from the home office and just resort to their solution scripts that have nothing to do with addressing the problem. At least yesterday when I was chatting with them, the tech finally said my supervisor said they are working on a new release of the code for Data updates and it will be fixed soon. It came back after a few hours, but still not working well. Today I just ran out of patience with the tech support and left after he suggested I install an old version of Office.

Does anyone know how to pull options data in excel ?
I'm pretty sure you can't. Given the number of options for any single stock--Puts and Calls, at various strike prices, and all their various expiration dates--it would be a far more voluminous constantly changing database than is needed for the plain ol' stock prices to which the options connect as derivatives.
On the other hand, I have chosen to push the options data I need, rather than pull it, from Fidelity's Active Trader Pro platform.
