Excel spreadsheet data floats while scrolling instead going straight down or up

Dear MS Help Community,

My MS Office 2021 Excel (for Mac) has a unique issue.  While scrolling up & down, the info in the spreadsheet "floats" all over the screen instead of staying straight up & down.  Please help if you know how to resolve this issue.  I'm on a MacBookPro running Monterey 12.2.1 .
