Excel specific file not working

Hello Team,
I have a shared online sheet with my team that is no longer accessible to me on the desktop version, although I am able to open the same file and edit through the browser, and I am able to open all the other excel files/and shared files.

I have done the several actions to troubleshoot and tried to resolve the issue however it remains the same as per screenshot below (it keeps loading in space until I do end task manager to close the file):

- I have restarted my laptop and try opening the file again
- I have reinstalled the office

- The latest software update for Excel and Windows are up to date and installed
- I have cleared The Excel Cache by deleting all files in %appdata%\Microsoft\Excel folder.
- Closed unused applications that may be using up memory or resources.

Thank you in advance for yoru support

If you are experiencing issues with a specific Excel file that is not opening on the desktop version but works fine in the browser, you can try the following additional troubleshooting steps:

    1. Open in Safe Mode:
      • Try opening Excel in Safe Mode.
    2. Check for Add-ins:
      • Some Excel add-ins might be causing issues. Disable any third-party add-ins and try opening the file.
    3. Create a New Workbook and Copy Data:
      • Open a new workbook and copy the sheets/data from the problematic workbook to the new one.
    4. Check for File Corruption:
      • The file itself might be corrupted. If possible, try to access a previous version of the file or a backup.
    5. Check File Permissions:
      • Ensure that you have the necessary permissions to access and edit the file.
    6. Temporary Profile:
      • There could be an issue with your user profile. Try logging into a different user profile on your computer and see if the issue persists.
    7. Check Event Viewer:
      • Check the Event Viewer for any error messages related to Excel. This might provide more information about the issue.

    Hope this will help you.
