Nevertheless...
If you are experiencing issues with the Excel Solver add-in, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the problem:
- Enable the Solver Add-in: Before using the Solver, you need to make sure it is enabled in Excel. Go to the "File" tab, click "Options," and then select "Add-Ins." In the "Manage" box at the bottom, make sure "Excel Add-ins" is selected, and click "Go." Check the "Solver Add-in" box, and click "OK."
- Check for Compatibility: Ensure that the version of Solver you are using is compatible with your version of Excel. If you have recently upgraded Excel, you may need to update the Solver add-in to match the new version.
- Check for Required Add-ins: Solver may require other add-ins to function correctly. Check if there are any other required add-ins, and make sure they are also enabled.
- Check for Software Conflicts: Sometimes, conflicts with other add-ins or software on your computer can cause issues with Solver. Try disabling other add-ins one by one to see if the problem persists.
- Check for Data Errors: Ensure that your data is set up correctly for the Solver to work. Double-check that your formulas, constraints, and target cells are properly defined.
- Restart Excel: If you encounter errors, try closing and reopening Excel. Sometimes, this can resolve temporary issues.
- Repair or Reinstall Solver: If the above steps don't work, you can try repairing or reinstalling the Solver add-in. To do this, go to the "File" tab, click "Options," and then select "Add-Ins." In the "Manage" box, choose "Excel Add-ins," and click "Go." Uncheck the "Solver Add-in" box, click "OK," and then repeat the process to re-enable the Solver add-in.
- Check for Updates: Ensure that your version of Excel and the Solver add-in are up to date. Check for updates from Microsoft and install them if available.
If none of the above steps resolve the issue, you can try searching for specific error messages you encounter when using Solver. Microsoft's support articles and forums can be helpful in troubleshooting specific error messages and finding solutions. The text and the steps are the result of various AI's put together.

Excel's "Available Settings" field is missing the "Solver Add-in" line. That is, there is no Solver. Tell me what needs to be done to load the Solver into Excel?- NikolinoDEGold Contributor
