Excel solver adds-in issue
I keep on getting error messages while trying to run the solver on my spreadsheet. How can I fix this problem, please?
I am experiencing an issue with the Excel Solver Add-in on Microsoft Excel 64-bit.
Error message:
“Compile error in hidden module: SolverCode. This error commonly occurs when code is incompatible with the version, platform, or architecture of this application.”
Troubleshooting already completed:
- Confirmed Excel is 64-bit
- Disabled and re-enabled Solver Add-in
- Restarted Excel multiple times
- Checked COM Add-ins for legacy Solver/Frontline add-ins
- Checked local AddIns folder for old Solver files (none found)
The issue persists and appears to require an Office repair/reinstallation of the Solver/VBA components. I do not have permissions to run Office repair locally.
Could you please assist?
