Excel question about copy and pasting large amounts of data

Thank you for the reply, but the large number I mean is not a single number, but the number of cells in the column. I was probably not clear on that. My sheet has close to one million cells in a column. When I attempt to copy most of the column, then paste it to another column, it appears to lose data.

the maximum rows of a sheet is 1048576 - just a little over one million.
if the destination column is empty - you should have no problem pasting the data in that column. if you are using manual system - there might be some problem selecting the enormous rows.
