Excel Pivot Table Filter and Label Formatting
Excel 2016
Images of 2 separate workbooks, each with a data table, pivot table and pivot chart, the one on the right created by copy & paste of the one on the left. The one on the right changed: X axis labels on the pivot chart don't have the multi-level option. Also, unlike the original on the left, there is now a filter button for the chart. Why the changes? How to I format the X axis on the right to match the one on the left? -thanks!

Johnbda First of all, the Filter button on the top right only appears for the chart selected.
With Pivot charts you can copy the format of one to another by selecting the first pivot chart. Press Ctrl-C. Select the second pivot chart and press Ctrl-V. So, if you copy the pivot table and create you second pivot chart on that one, then you can copy the exact format from the first one.

Riny_van_Eekelen Thanks for your response. My apologies, I neglected to mention that I was aware of the fact that the buttons wouldn't show unless the chart was selected, and being a static pic, that wasn't apparent. When the first chart was selected, the filter button did not appear as it did in the second one.
Also, the chart on the right is a direct result of copy/paste (Control C/V), which is why I don't understand how it became formatted differently.

Johnbda Can't really tell why the filter buttons don't appear in the first chart, but perhaps a good idea to upload your file, provide it doesn't contain any confidential information, to determine why the formatting is off.
