Excel =image(cell web link) returns #blocked!

When I am attempting to use the =image(link) to show an image, I am getting #BLOCKED! as a result. any help?

Is the URL pointing to an image behind a login wall?

    no just to an internal server, web image works perfect from a web browser

      If by 'internal server' you mean intranet, I believe that's by design that it's blocked. When I try to use IMAGE to display a .jpg image on my company's intranet it comes back #BLOCKED!.

        its just a web server, its just not accessible from the internet
