Excel image formula =IMAGE() do not auto pop up pic preview.
In the recent version of Excel [2412 Build 16.0.18324.20092], even if I fill out the =IMAGE() formula correctly following the instructions exactly, when the mouse hovers over the picture cell, there is no big picture preview popping up automatically, which is contrary to the teaching I have seen about this function, is this a bug? or excel development team to abandon the auto preview?

Your screenshot is from Excel IMAGE function - quick way to insert picture in cell with formula, an article from 2023. Apparently the popup feature didn't make it into the released version - it is not mentioned in the official documentation IMAGE function
Indeed, I think it's possible that this feature was removed for some reason (it wasn't even optional), which is a pity!
