Excel geography data incorrect

Question

Hi there!Was directed to this group after a Microsoft support chat that wasn't able to resolve my issue.I have a worksheet that I track some address data in using formulas and the Geography Data type.There have been several instances where the Country or State/Province data is wildly incorrect and/or causing issues with my formulas.Is there any way to get this corrected? I have reported each of the below instances as incorrect/incomplete data but nothing has been done.Most recently (end of 2024) both Calgary and Edmonton where changed from their correct province to the Northwest Territories which affected a large number of entries I had to manually correct.&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;

Feedback is always useful, but I'm pessimistic if something changes. In this forum lot of such samples and nothing happens. I'd do not expect the problem will be fixed in some future.

Riny_van_Eekelen , interesting, thank you for sharing. With VPN I also have Serbia. Without it - Ottoman Empire. It looks like Microsoft provides different results to countries which are under the sanctions and/or in conflict, and which are not. Another headache for them.
Anyway, even without politics results are not always adequate. Especially for regions where were any changes in administrative divisions during previous 10 years or so, or for ones which are too far from USA.
Back to initial question I have no idea what shall be correct data to play with variants in names.
