Excel Formats my values without conditional formatting
I have a spreadsheet. When I enter values, the color of the cell turns green. There is no conditional formatting. Where does the formatting come from?

Thanks, but not using Macros and no conditional formatting on the "This Worksheet" selection.

so the file is a .xlsx (not .xlsb or .xlsm)?
also can you clear the formatting?
and are you on desktop or in the web version? mac or pc? what version?

- SantaMillsJul 11, 2022Copper Contributor- It is .xlm but no Macros
- I saved it as .xlsx - same problem
- If I clear the formatting on .xlsm (also .xlsx) then the automatic formatting does not happen with new data entered
- I would still like some fields to be formatted, but not by default- HansVogelaarJul 11, 2022MVP
Could you attach a sample workbook (without sensitive data), or if that is not possible, make it available through OneDrive, Google Drive, Dropbox or similar? Thanks in advance.

I think I found the solution
It is in the Excel Options > Advanced > Extend data range formats and formulas
Thanks for trying to help
