Excel for MAC number format

Hello everyone,

After the last update to Excel Version 16.95.3 (25032931), it doesn't respect the format number anymore.

My Mac settings for number are like this:

Until the last update the Excel has followed the same format for numbers, but now they are changed in this format:

I tried different solutions, but nothing works.

Any idea please?

GordonAshfordThese suggestions don't help. They the system settings are already correct, and your other solutions will permanently change the cells to MY desired format, which is not the same as the desired format of others with whom I share hundreds of affected spreadsheets. It will also take hundreds of hours to affect such changes across thousands of cells in hundreds of spreadsheets.

v16.95.3 BROKE date formatting based on system preferences in Mac. It is a BUG.

  • 1. Reset cell formatting

Select Numeric > General to reset the formatting
    Re-apply the required formatting
    2. Check system locale settings
