Excel drop-down list
I am having trouble creating a drop-down list option in my spreadsheet. I followed the directions from the program, but I keep getting this error. I attached a photo below.

Hello, as submitted by Sergei, you can't reference data stored in another workbook as your List Data Validation source in another workbook. The convention is to have the source data in another sheet (which you can hide) or your current sheet.
I will advice you copy the data to the workbook you intend to create your drop down list
You may not use reference to another workbook
