Excel Cross Cursor
How do I get rid of the white bulky cross cursor? It's standing in the way of my doing anything. I don't even know how I go

It sounds like you're referring to the "White Crosshair Cursor" in Excel. This cursor appears when you're in the middle of selecting cells or ranges. Here's how you can get rid of it:
- Click Away: Simply click anywhere outside of the range you're selecting. This action should cancel the selection process and make the crosshair cursor disappear.
- Press Escape (Esc) Key: Pressing the Esc key on your keyboard can also cancel the cell selection process and remove the crosshair cursor.
- Complete the Selection: If you were in the middle of selecting a range and want to finish the selection, simply click the starting cell again to complete the selection process. This should remove the crosshair cursor.
- Disable Editing Mode: If you're in editing mode within a cell (the cursor is inside a cell), pressing Enter or Tab to exit the cell will remove the crosshair cursor.
- Disable Scroll Lock: In some cases, the Scroll Lock key on your keyboard might be enabled, causing unexpected cursor behavior. Try pressing the Scroll Lock key to toggle it off.
By following these steps, you should be able to remove the white crosshair cursor from Excel and resume normal usage. If the issue persists, try restarting Excel or your computer to see if that resolves the problem.

I'm sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you. I want to firstly thank you, so much, for bothering to help me. However, none of the steps you suggested have worked. It doesn't really matter though because it hasn't stopped me from working with the spreadsheet. At first, I thought it had, but something else was going on. At any rate, I'm living with this fat white cross instead of a normal cursor and other than weirding me out from a religious standpoint, I'm good.
