Excel Compatibility Mode-Turning off by default

Hello everyone,
I have a Master Excel file which receive data from excels with standardized names. Sometimes I change excels and to provide data flow I give standardized names to them.
Mostly Master Excel still receive data from new excels but sometimes due to version change (from xlsx to xls) some excels turning "compatibility mode" and Master Excel give "#REF!" error for those.
Is it possible to turning off compatibility mode for all excels and will it cause another problem except shape & colour change?
Thanks..

Example - #REF! error causes find in the link

How to correct a #REF! error

The #REF! error shows when a formula refers to a cell that’s not valid . This happens most often when cells that were referenced by formulas get deleted, or pasted over.

Hope I was able to help you with this info.

Thank you, however my question was not about #REF error. My question: Is compatibility mode in excel can be turned off by default NikolinoDE ?

Maybe this guide will help you in advance :).

If not, as mentioned above, please provide more information.

        1.Click on "File".

        2.Then on "Options"

3.Under the menu item "Save" should be the basic setting of the format

for Excel "Excel Workbook (*.xlsx)" and

for PowerPoint must be set to "PowerPoint Presentation".

If not, use the drop-down box to search for and select the correct format.

Then scroll down and confirm with OK

        4.Confirm the message with "Yes".

**If your document or template is saved in the wrong/old format, you must

save the document again. It is best to use "Save as" and then the
