Excel charts: adding dynamic text boxes
I have been unable to add a text box to a chart that is a cell reference to a value posted in a cell in another workbook sheet. I would like the cell reference to mirror changes I make in the refere...
Do not type in the text box.
Instead, click on one of the edges of the text box to select it.
Click in the formula bar.
Type =
Activate the other sheet.
Click on the cell with the value you want to display.
Press Enter.
You can also type the formula, for example
=Sheet2!D3
