Excel auto fill just doesn't seem to work!
Hi anyone who can assist,
I am trying to do a basic Autofill as here:
But it just doesn't allow me to drag into the blanks cells based on the date sequence. There is no 'crosshairs' cursor, just a solid white cross.
What am not doing right?
Click on the “File” tab (from 2010) and then on “(Excel) Options”.
Switch to the “Advanced” category, activateor deactivate the “Enable fill box
and drag & drop cells” option in the “Editing options” section (from 2010)
and click “OK” to confirm.
I would be happy to know if I could help.

Hi, I have mark all this correct and it doesn't work. this problem I have from time to time, completely randomly. Usually I can auto fill cells, but like i.ex now, it fills with first number in first column and I have no even option of "cell filling" just formatting options. Restart of Office or computer doesn't solve, it change itself when it want. I don't have update pending. What should be the solution here? I use excel daily and this situations are taking my day of work or more,
out.

MDB_2000 Noticed the "missing drag indicator" as well in Excel for Windows (not on Excel for Mac, though). Can still drag and fill down by hovering the cursor over the bottom right-hand corner of the cell and right-click.

Riny_van_Eekelen Hmmm that just didn't work for me. But perhaps the settings aren't on properly. (although I have followed all the actions from Help)
