excel 365 workbook freezes on windows 11 works fine on windows 10
brand new windows 11 computer office 365 installation with workbooks on local drive. Upon assigning a cell value to a value on another worksheet excel "freezes", memory use climbs to maximum machine physical memory. This happens on multiple different workbook small and large with simple calculations in cells. These same workbooks function normally on windows 10 excel 365 machine. Nothing fancy going on in this particular workbook same problem on other workbooks.
MS support went through windows 11 machine is fully updated, office 365 is fully updated. MS support deactivated third party apps on boot, turned off add ins in excel, booted safe mode ... basically tried everything and are stumped sent me to the community to see if anyone can recommend a solution.
- If your new pc is a desktop - question, what type of monitor are you using?
If it is 4K can you switch to alternative e.g. HD monitor and try to see if problem resolved.
Have had similar issue and switching to HD monitor appears to resolve issue.
If so then either W11 or desktop are having problem in managing 'memory leakage'
