Excel 365 corrupting files with macros
Excel 365 corrupting files with macros is an ongoing issue that has been reported by some users. However, there is currently no ETA "Estimated Time of Arrival" for a solution.
In the meantime, there are a few things you can try to recover your corrupted file:
- Open and repair the file. This may fix the corruption and allow you to open the file without losing any data.
- Save the file as an older format. This may work if the corruption is related to the newer file format.
- Use a third-party file recovery tool. There are a number of third-party tools that can help you recover corrupted files.
Here a workaround that you can try in the meantime.
Here are the steps on how to use the workaround:
Open the corrupted workbook.
Disable macros.
Save the workbook as a .zip file.
Open the .zip file, and then open the workbook.
Enable macros.
This workaround may not work for all workbooks, but it is worth trying.
