enter plain range into a cell
Hi Everyone, I want to enter 1-9 in a cell but every time I do it returns the value as a date or 43,839. Does anyone know I can enter just the simple range without it returning another text?

Excel recognizes "1-9" as the date January 9, 2020 which in Excel code is 43839.
You will have to set "1-9" as a text value to prevent this. That can be done by placing a single apostrophe before the text (i.e. " '1-9 ") or simply setting the format to text.
