Duration Dependency

Is there a way to keep a duration even if a start or end date changes? For example: I have a task that needs to be completed in 5 days. The initial start date was 8/20 and the end date was 8/24....

leoperdia I did not think of like that and think your image fits my need.

Going off the image you shared, what formulas did you include in the forecast end and real end if you were going to incorporate them in a gantt chart? Or would you advise using a different chart method?
