double-click on the Excel filter icon or click on the Clear Excel filter? icon. On a table in genera

I have a colleague who doesn't like it when I click twice on the Excel "filter" button to display a filter or clear the filter selection. You have to click on "delete filter" and not on the basic "filter" button. For me, if I just want to remove the filter and it doesn't appear, I can click on the "filter as much as possible" button. Will my data not break? or do I risk losing the data. Can you shed some light on this?

JoseLFB By double-clicking on the Filter button, you are essentially turning off filtering (which automatically clears any applied filters), then turning filtering back on, so there is no risk of losing data. Having said that, you are potentially changing the range of data that was being filtered in the first place (if the range is not formatted as an Excel table).

When you turn on filtering, it's based on the selected cells/range; or, if only one cell is selected, it's based on the current region (all contiguous data) of the active cell. For example, if you have filtered the data, then select a range of cells and double-click the filter button, the filters will now apply only to the range of cells you've selected.

The simplest way to clear all filters it to click the Clear Filters button (Effacer). You can also add this button to the Quick Access Toolbar, so it's easier to find when needed.
