Default years in Excel
Hi there - when typing 5/1/35 in Excel, it is returning 5/1/1935. I tested a few years, and until 5/1/29, the system will default to 2029, but as soon as I type in 5/1/30, it reverts to 5/1/1930. Anyway to change this?

Thank you HansVogelaar .
The years established are 1950-2049, so 35 would default to 2035, however in Excel, it is reverting to 1935. I'll keep digging.
It looks like you have to change the setting in the Date tab of the Customize Format dialog at least once for Excel to pick it up. So select - for example - 2048, then click OK. Next, select 2049 again and click OK again. Excel should now use this setting.

If you are on Windows:

into the box, then press Enter or click OK.
This activates the Region control panel.
Click Additional settings...
This activates the Customize Format dialog.
Activate the Date tab.
You can specify how two-digit years are interpreted here:
Don;t forget to click OK after changing the setting.
