Crochet Symbols

Can Crochet Symbols be accessed in the Symbols Chart, or perhaps added to the Symbols Chart?

It sounds like you want to add a font. Download the font file and copy it to the C:\Windows\Fonts folder and it will automatically show up as a font in the Symbols dialog box.

Thanks, great suggestion, didn't think of it possible.  MS Office doesn't have any that I can find, and I'm unsure if those website offers are safe to download.   Nevertheless, your suggestion hits the nail right on the head.  Thank you, and all the best for the new year.

    Insert a check mark symbol

You can easily insert a check mark (also known as a "tick mark") in Word, Outlook, Excel, or PowerPoint.

These marks are static symbols. If you're looking for an interactive check box that you can click to check or uncheck, see: Add a check box or option button (Excel) or Make a checklist in Word.

    CHAR function

This link describes the formula syntax and usage of the CHAR function in Microsoft Excel.

Hope this information could help you.

    Wish you a nice day...and a New year :))

Thank you for the suggestion.  Meanwhile, I created my own cell symbols with the help of "insert shapes", piece the bits together by grouping them, and copy and paste at different places in the spreadsheet, which works just as well.  It is surprising that those crochet and knitting symbols are not available in the symbols chart, although there is lots of stuff to choose from, just not for the world-wide crochet and knitting international symbols that everyone shares regardless of spoken language.  It's certainly something for Microsoft to incorporate and improve on.

      Thanks again, appreciate your reply.

Happy New Year and best of health.
