Creating new rows when unique values found

Little back story - I'm putting together an accommodation spend tracker that has all our booking data on one tab and the analysis on another.  We have multiple projects with new ones starting all the time.

What I am trying to do is use a formula or macro to check the booking data for any new projects, pull the name through to the analysis tab and create a whole new row, preferably in alphabetical order.

I then have formulas that search for the project name in the booking data and pull through various bits of information.

I initially set it up with a sort(unique) function but while this does find the new project names, it doesn't create new rows in the sheet as I add new data to the bookings tab, causing my rows become mismatched.  I have no experience using macros but would be willing to try setting one up.

Is this something that is possible or am i trying to make excel do something it can't?

I'm quite confident that what you're trying to do IS something Excel is entirely capable of doing.

However, it's not really all that clear what it is you're trying to do. It would help a lot if, in addition to your verbal description, we could see the actual workbook(s) (or similar replicas--same format, fictional data).

Would it be possible for you to grant us access to the workbook(s) you currently have? You can do that by posting the file(s) (devoid of confidential information) on OneDrive or GoogleDrive and posting a link here (please make sure we have more than "read only" access).......
