Counting Days Once A Submission Date is Entered and Stops Counting Once a Closed Date is Entered

Good Day All!&nbsp;I am new here to the discussion boards, but I am in a pickle here.&nbsp;I am creating a database to track Error Reports within my organization.&nbsp;The cells I am having trouble with are; Date Submitted (F3); Days Open (J3) and Date Closed (O3).&nbsp;My intent is to have the formulas/functions in the cells, but remain blank until data is entered into the cells.&nbsp;Once I enter data into the 'Date Submitted' (F3) cell, I would like the 'Days Open' (J3) Cell to calculate the days the report has been open.&nbsp;Once the report is closed, a date is entered into the "Date Closed" (O3) cell, triggering the 'Days Open' Cell to seize the counting of the days.&nbsp;Would someone be able to point me in the right direction?
