One possible solution is to use the COUNTIFS function, which counts cells across multiple ranges based on one or several conditions.
In your case, you can use the following formula:
=COUNTIFS(A:A,“<>”,B:B,“”)
This will count the number of rows where column A is not blank and column B is blank.
The “<>” operator means “not equal to” and “” means an empty string
