Count how many occurrences two words appear in a row in different cells
I am building a schedule for a weeklong period, one day per Sheet tab all in the same file. Attaching a photo of how it's set up - I am trying to figure out which formula to use to count how many times a person over a week has a specific zone in one of their hour marks. For example, based off my photo, how many times "Jess" and "Cash" appear in the same row, or I guess how many times "Jess" is zoned for "cash" based off the row - I'm having trouble phrasing what I want, which is I think why I can't figure out the formula because I don't know what to look up or what to call it.
The reason I'm trying to do this is so that I can make sure I'm giving everyone even amounts of work.

mjviens Not sure if I understand what you want but I think you have a problem trying to sum up in rows AND across sheets. Although there are trick you could do, I think your simplest and more understandable method is to:
a) do a sum for that day on that day's sheet
b) add a new tab for totals and do a sum across sheets
NOTE: for the sum across sheet all the cells MUST line up
