copy and paste

I want to paste a cell from one excel page to another - the original page has a formula within the cell that I want to copy and paste into the second excel sheet. I have tried all options but none work. Ideas?

Use [Ctrl] + [V] to insert a cut-out cell range in Excel. When you move or copy a formula, Excel automatically changes the cell references to the new position.

    or
As an alternative to drag and drop, you can move cells in Excel using copy and paste.

Here, too, first select the cell range to be moved.
Press [Ctrl] + [X] to cut.
Press [Ctrl] + [V] to paste into the target area.

The advantage of this variant is that you need one movement less than with the copy-and-paste function [Ctrl] + [C], since the content is transferred directly here. This saves deleting as an additional work step.

I would be happy to know if I could help.

Thanks for your reply but it didn't work.

When I CUT from excel sheet #1 and then opened excel sheet #2, there is no PASTE SPECIAL option.

There is only: PASTE, VALUES and FORMULAS as the only options.

      New idea please!

David, are you on Excel Online?

Anyway, use PASTE to paste formatting and formula; PASTE VALUE to paste only value and PASTE FORMULAS to paste only formulas.
