Use [Ctrl] + [V] to insert a cut-out cell range in Excel. When you move or copy a formula, Excel automatically changes the cell references to the new position.

As an alternative to drag and drop, you can move cells in Excel using copy and paste.
Here, too, first select the cell range to be moved.
Press [Ctrl] + [X] to cut.
Press [Ctrl] + [V] to paste into the target area.
The advantage of this variant is that you need one movement less than with the copy-and-paste function [Ctrl] + [C], since the content is transferred directly here. This saves deleting as an additional work step.
